Friend's unwanted sow came home with me yesterday so today, I went and bought a new cage for little girl, Lara. I paid around $95 US Dollar, so that is around 70 pound sterling. Lara did have a playpen which came to me along with Lara but her playpen didn't have any where to hang a hay rack or securely hang a water bottle. Also, cleaning out a playpen was going to be difficult so I decided to spend the money on a new cage for Lara.

Needless to say, I am currently trying everything I can to make things comfortable for this little girl Lara. She hasn't had proper vegetable prior to coming to my home so I am giving her different vegetables to try. I think she found out she loves romaine lettuce. Hopefully soon, she will get used to eating vegetables regularly like my boy Finn.

As mentioned in my other post gradually introduce the veg so you don't give Lara a bad tummy. How big is her new cage? Does she still have access to her playpen?

I do have Lara’s playpen so she can go back to run around in it and Lara will have access to her playpen daily. Her cage is around 50X100cm NOT counting the upstairs, and it came with everything, a water bottle, hay rack, food dish, and an upstairs with a ramp for $95 US Dollars. Upstairs would add additional 20cm to her cage I believe. I liked this cage because it had everything so didn’t have to purchase everything extra separately.

I did buy her a comfy fleece bed she can sleep in because she didn’t have a bed of any kind prior to coming to my home, and that was $20 US Dollar additional.
