*Secret Santa*
Now I have a very strong feeling that this is nothing to be concerned about, but I thought that I would see if anyone has any experience with this.
Treacle and Bernadette (my female pair) are living on the opposite side of the living room to Junior and Stewart (my un-neutered male pair). They have never been any trouble and still aren't! When Bernadette comes into season she rumblestrutts like nothing I've ever seen! Presenting, rumbling everywhere and generally being a little missus! We have noticed her doing this ever since we have moved her inside, like clockwork when she is in heat.
However, Treacle has NEVER rumblestrutted. Not with Fudge or Bernadette, in the 4 years I've known her! She has never rumbled: until we came home with Stewart. Now for the last 2 - 3 days she's been rumbling like mad when Bernadette is getting in her way, or even for no reason at all! She never rumbled when Junior was in the run, even when they were (obviously seperated) inches apart. She has never been bothered! I expected a bit from Bernadette, as she has been bred from in the past, but Treacle's always so docile!
Junior and Stewart are a new pair, still sorting things out with a tiny bit of rumbling, mounting, jumping and chattering. But my girls have ALWAYS been settled, and I'm ever-so slightly concerned that it may cause conflict between either pair.
I am almost certain that it's nothing to be concerned about, but I'm worried that the presence of the other may set off my pairs to scuffle or scrap. Or rumble, in this case.
Any ideas if it's male presence that's set off my little Treacle? Or just that she's never wanted to rumble before?
