Unsuccessful Lap Time :(

During lap time last night with Frazzle and Bumble, Frazzle was on my knee and Bumble was in a box on the sofa next to me so I could stroke him, as I wasn't quite confident having them both on my knee at the same time. Anyway Bumble was wheeking very loudly which was making Frazzle fidget and run about so I put Bumble on my knee also. But then they both started fidgeting and Bumble jumping on top of Frazzle so I put him in the box and Bumble on my knee. Again he just wheeked very loudly and tried leaping off my knee. So I gave it up as a bad job
Any advice on what to do please? Should I just do one at a time for now?

How old are the Pigs? When mine fidget during lap time its either boredom or they need a pee (both boys) Try not to get disheartened by it you could always have some veggies handy as a distraction

They are 10 weeks and 6 weeks. They're both still babies and only had them both together for 2 days so maybe I'm moving them a bit fast

My boy is a fidget bum. He's almost 1 year now but still a fidget. He's always on the move, places to go piggys to see. With him I sit on the floor and he loves running around me, up my leg and under my legs. I can't sit on the sofa with him it just turns into a nightmare. Now my girl will happy sit on my lap or she will climb up me and snuggle under my chin. Yours are only baby's and wait to get into everything. Try sitting in the run with them and have them on your lap with veg. They can use your legs like a ramp to get on and off when they want to.

Well tonight's lap time was more successful. My daughter had Frazzle in her lap on one sofa and I had Bumble on my lap on the other sofa. They both had some veg and Bumble fidgeted but he didn't wheek and I did manage to stroke him.

Piggies are different in what they will tolerate and enjoy. One of my sows will sit peacefully on my lap for ages being petted and another one can't escape quickly enough. Don't panic. Just take your time with each. And they are very young and new to you. I'm sure things will settle with time.
