Hi. This is my first post.

My three year old male (neutered) started losing weight in September. Went down to 860g. He would sit in the corner of the cage, all puffed up and wouldn't eat. I took him to my vets but told me I would need to go to a specialist. So I was referred to a specialist.
They took bloods, X-Rays and checked his teeth.
His teeth and X-rays looked fine. The bloods came back that he was a bit anaemic. The vet said it might be a bone marrow issue, so he was kept on metacam and given baytril and told to come back in a couple of weeks for a repeat blood test. He went back for another blood test and his anaemia had gone and returned to normal. The only thing the vet saw was his white blood cells where a bit elevated so the vet said he either has parasites but his 'gut feeling' was he had cancer and to but him on steroids and tramadol until he passes away.
I wasn't happy with a gut feeling so I asked for a parasite faecal test. The faecal sample came back with slightly raised pin worms but the vet said that was normal.

I decided to get a second opinion and saw an exotic vet at a different vets. He said Buddy looked gassy on his xrays from the previous vet. He suggested to treat for pin worms so I gave Buddy panacur twice a day for a week and I slowly reduced the steroids.
Buddy started putting on weight again and didn't have a 'flare up' for four weeks. Then Wednesday morning I woke up and Buddy was bloated and not wanting to move. I took him to the vets. They gave him pain relief and something to help his guts move. Ive also been syringe feeding him. The vet wasn't sure if it was linked to his current issue or he ate too many vegetables.
The vet wants to do a CT Scan next but I just can't afford it. I don't really know if it's worth doing an Ultrasound? I don't know what else to do.

I forgot to say he has also had a blood test for hos thyroid and that's normal aswell
