This February, my two male guinea pigs will turn two. They live outside in a hutch just a tiny bit under RSPCA minimum and I've tried asking for a new hutch before but my dad just turned me down. Now, I really fancy the idea of my guinea pigs living in my (tiny) bedroom so I don't have to worry about them being cold and alone. I just donot know how to tell him. I have a plan to extend this shelf above my bed but I just know he won't agree. How should I tell him and what should I say?

:wel:to the forum.

Maybe if your bedroom isn't big enough to house them, they would still be cramped and still not as happy.
Are there any other rooms in your house that are big enough to fit at least a 2x4 c&c cage?

My girls are downstairs as my bedroom is too small for them.

Well we have a labrador downstairs and she definitely does not get on well with my pigs so if I did put them somewhere downstairs, I am sure she would find a way to terrorize/eat them, which I really wouldn't want.

Ah okay,

When my grandparents come over (they have two golden retrievers ) the room the piggies are in gets sectioned of with two mothercare gates.

Maybe you should do some research and make a persuasive PowerPoint presentation to your dad why you should get a bigger hutch for the piggies

I think explaining to your parents the amount of space the piggies should have and why it is important, will really help your situation.
