hello all, hopefully i am not being bothersome with the amount of my posts, but my darling piggy has been having some weird poops lately after his second teeth trim.

first dental was done in february, and his molars were just a bit overgrown. last week, both premolars and molars were much more overgrown and a little ulcer has already began to develop. both procedures went smoothly, but funnily enough this second time he began eating much faster and started eating hay on his own again (we had issues with that in february).

anyways, the procedure went smoothly, we got home with some pain medication (metacam) which i stopped giving yesterday.

but the vet has also mentioned it’s time for regular boar cleaning, as a lot of gunk/hay was removed from his genitals and clearly, checking only every two weeks will not be enough. i am now checking him on a daily basis and cleaning him when necessary.

BUT what i have noticed is his poops have been larger and longer. still nicely shaped, the right colour. but for the past day or so, a few will come out undivided - as if a smaller poop is stuck to a much larger one. (picture attached)

he is in absolutely no discomfort or pain, his tummy was fine when he was last examined and he eats all his hay, grass and whatever veggie snack he gets occasionally. no tummy issues this time.

it is also worth mentioning that my vet recommended RodiCare after the first dental. it’s some sort of a herbal syrup that supports appetite, intestinal flora, GI movement and i was told to give him 0,3mL if i noticed any minor tummy issues or just for a week to support the micro flora.

i have since stopped giving him this as i felt no need to continue. could that be causing these poops? or are these a beginning of an impaction or some other age related issues (he is only 2 though)? could it just be the side effect of this different brand of pain meds?
