Uncomfortable poos?

I know that guinea pigs don’t suffer from constipation as such but can they suffer from ‘uncomfortable’ poos like we do? I have posted a thread about this before but Elizabeth will sometimes let out a little grunt when passing poo. It isn’t every time. I’m not overly concerned as she’s done this for the past year or more but I just wondered. Does anyone else’s piggies do this?

Brillo does this. It seems to be if he passes a lot of poops at once, 5 or 6 perhaps. If it's just 1 or 2 he's fine. He's been vet checked and nothing obvious was found. Don't worry Claire if it's only occasionally and she's been like it for a year it's probably just one of those things, maybe mention it to the vet next time she goes for something else just to completely put your mind at ease.

Mine sometimes make sort of grunting noises when they are tucking themselves under to reach their poops. Is that what you are hearing, maybe?

Thank you for the reassurance. I only notice it when she’s out on the settee with me. They have their nails done with the vet nurse every 6-8 weeks so I’ll mention it to her the next time they go x
