They must have just had a really hard 5minutes - they normally make it under a chair before collapsing - clearly couldn't make it this time!

Awwww how cute is a yawning piggy! Can just see Toby's top teeth. Well done for getting this shot. I have only ever been fast enough once and caught one of my boys yawning when he was still a baby about 4 years ago.

Have to admit that I cant take the credit for it - it was all down to MrS. I love that you can just see his little tongue sticking out!

Just took a closer look. Wow, that is one big yawn! What I though was his bottom lip turns out to be his tongue. Piggy tongues are ever so cute.

You would love my house - they free range from dawn (almost) to dusk - only get locked up at bedtime by which point they have normally tucked themselves up in bed anyway!
Aww. Do you have room for one big guinea pig, Lily, Lola and my mum! lol

Haha this is brilliant! My boys only lounge around the house every so often so you're very lucky!

I love to sit and watch my piggies out on the grass in the summer.
I will sit for hours with my camera at the ready, waiting for one of them to yawn! Here are just two that I have caught, Suzie and Sophie, both Bridge pigs.

Ahhhh WOW! Those photos are amazing! You can almost see what's in their tummies!

Ahh adorable! They look so relaxed out and about. Mine hate being out :( do you have any advice on how to keep them happy when they're roaming on the floor?

I have their pet carrier filled with hay at one end of the lounge, a hay filled box half way along and a big chair with puppy pads underneath near their hutch so they always have somewhere to hide. We spend lots of time on the floor talking to them and stroking them but only ever try to pick them up if they are in the hutch so they never feel threatened when they are out and about. I also give them their breakfast and tea by hand away from the hutch so they are quite used to us. They only settle down for a sleep in the open on the carpet if we are both sitting down so they can see where we are, also they tend to do it by the sofa so if they get freaked they just just straight behind it. I also have other toys knocking around for them e.g. Fleecy forest, play pipe. I love the early evening when they start zooming round the furniture!

those pictures are great!

I love to see my piggies yawning. If one has just woken from a good nap, she will yawn, stretch out the front legs whilst flexing the toes and slowly wagging the head. It is soooo cute to see!
Here are some more yawn pictures for you all to enjoy!
First We have Suzie again. I thought this was a particularly good one. Then we have Bonnie yawning whilst Clyde sleeps. And finally Clyde. It is difficult to get close-up pics of Bonnie and Clyde. Bonnie because she always wants to sniff the camera, just in case its edible! And Clyde because, even at 4 years old, he is still quite nervous of me.
