Priscilla is the only one of my girls who hadn’t been spayed due to ovarian cysts.
Today she’s been rumbling which is unusual behaviour for her.
I’m wondering if she’s developing ovarian cysts.
There’s no other obvious signs but I will need to keep an eye on her.
She’s probably a little over 3 years old.

I’m hoping it’s just a strong season but any unusual behaviour in my piggies makes me slightly anxious

When The Ever Beautiful Betsy had ovarian cysts she was a real moody cow and gave her late husboar Dennis hell. Luckily Dennis loved Betsy so much he forgave her anything and just said "yes dear, no dear".

Hoping it's just a strong season for your Wallking Wig!

No evidence of fur loss but that’s no so easy to see with my walking wig.
It wasn't easy with Betsy. Have a look at Priscilla's sides halfway down her abdomen and towards her back legs and see if you can notice any thinning. Does she have elongated nipples? That was the first thing I noticed on Betsy.

Really hope she doesn’t @Merab's Slave 🤞 Aliona surprises me when she starts shaking her butt and giving Luigi a gobful (a couple of days this week!). She’s more of a sly, snappy, grumpy sow in season but she does that occasionally and it definitely worries me too!

I hope its just a strong season! Paws crossed for Priscilla, but if it is potentially cysts you've spotted the very first signs and should have plenty time to see the vet and talk things through... I also need to get Jezzy floof checked for cysts, we are going to book school holiday old lady health checks for her and Clover, Jezzy has started occasionally engaging in madly humping Piggle up and down the cage which isnt at all what we are used to seeing from our dignified floofy old lady! Its very funny to watch but not quite age appropriate, Jezzy must be at least four and a half now, but always worth getting these things checked out x

That’s what gave it away for Phoebe but there’s no noticeable thinning on Priscilla.
I will need to take her out for a thorough health check again.
Given her objection to being taken out you may need earplugs!

Hope Jezzy isn’t developing ovarian cysts.
It’s hard to believe she’s over 4 now.
I try to ensure I catch things quickly, it makes so much difference.

It would appear that Priscilla decided that as she hasn’t caused me any worry for ages , some was overdue!
The rumbling has stopped, there is no sign of fur loss or other physical hints.
For the first time in her life she’s topped 1200g and she’s still a diva.
Thanks for letting me voice my concerns.

Glad to hear she’s gone back to her quiet self.

Very glad to hear that all is well! I think your Priscilla and our Pewter would make great members of a piggy diva club :))
