Typical me..Sudden piggy panic at the cinema..

A couple of weeks ago Jon and I went to the cinema, first time in a long while.
Anyway, as usual we left in a rush. We arrived just in time for the advertisements. Sitting opening our sweets and settling down.
I turn to Jon and say ‘I wonder what Fergus is doing?’ (The dog)..We’re not often out at night so was just being silly wondering what the dog would be up too lol. But then I had a sudden feeling of panic. Fergus..the Guinea pig room door.. did I shut it?!?
I suddenly realised I couldn’t remember if I shut the door to the Guinea pig room! Fergus is absolutely fantastic with the piggies, but of course would NEVER leave him alone with them. We always shut the door when we go out so he can’t go in there.
Usually while I shut the door I look to see where Olive is in her cage, so I can have a mental note in my head of remembering I shut the door.
I know I shut it, it’s second nature when I go out. But what if I didn’t? What if Fergus goes in there and mauls all the pigs! There is No way I could relax for 2 hours at the cinema wondering whether I shut the door or not.
Jon realising my internal feelings of fear. ‘You best go and check then..’

So off I ran out of the cinema as the movie is just about the start. Running past the front desk ‘ohh I think I’ve left the oven on at home! ‘( Didn’t think they’d understand the Guinea pig urgency)
Jump in the car and off I go. Thankfully it’s only a 20 minute round trip.

But guess what.. The door was bloody shut.
Of course.

Oh poor you! But at least it put your mind at rest

We once went out for the day and left the front door wide open, when we came back we did chuckle how lucky we were that no one had burgled the house

My mum's dogs sometimes stay the night at my house and sleep on my bed. Every time, without fail, once we go to bed and we're all settled upstairs, I have to go and check that I shut the living room door where the pigs are. Amd guess what? Every time, without fail, I've shut the door! Hope it was a good film.... or half film....

You're not alone Hannah, I do that sort of thing all the time.
For me it's the front door, every time I go out I get to the end of the road and can't remember locking it. I hope the neighbours aren't looking out, they'll think I'm nuts always having 2 goes at shopping! Every night when I go to bed I can't remember turning the downstairs lights off and have to check.
We went away for 4 days once (pre piggies) and left a bedroom window wide open, we had scaffolding up at the time to aid the burglars, luckily everything was okay when we returned.
