I have got two young male guineapigs which are about 3 months old now, we seem to have a bit of a problem in that they are getting small wounds which I think may be bites (Almost certain it's not mites as they've just been treated for them). They seem to get on well most of time, squeaking for each other if you hold just the one, sleeping in their house together etc. we've never observed any full on fighting, just a bit of rumbling at each other and wiggling their bums occasionally but I cannot see what else these wounds could be other than from fighting.
I would really appreciate some advice as to whether it is necessary to separate them or if it is likely that this is just a passing phase maybe due to raging hormones?
Any advice would be much appreciated
