Ok, not planned, but necessary. Long story short, I need the Piggy room(summerhouse) for a ground floor bedroom due to mums ill health, dad requires respite etc. so planned on moving my 4 into the large utility. Plenty room, as long as I go for c&c. But would need to bond Jack, flossie, marmalade and Millie.

So have done everything right, but I can really bond two pairs together in one go?

Flossie is very protective of jack whose very chilled. Millie is scared witless, whilst marmalade is just her usual have a go hero! Lots of chasing and nipping.....I have read. Everything I can, but know doubt myself....ideas? Just stick to my guns?

Have done bonding before but not on this scale!

Don't worry the foster boys will be fine in the summer house, but really would like to make this bond happen for obvious reasons. Difficult to stack the ages in the utility.

well as long as no blood is drawn its just a seteling issue x

Well my nerves was holding out, but sadly the OH and the piggies didn't. flossie is so utterly protective of Jack, she was hurling herself at the other girls, it was damn right nasty...so I will have to find another solution, it's doable just not ideal.

How about trying Flossie with the other 2 girls without Jack to start with. It may work if there's no protection going on. If it does then introduce Jack later & keep fingers crossed.

I'm doing a different type of bonding soon. I have 3 groups, 2 with 1 male & 2 females + a pair of females. I'm going to take one of the females from one of the trios & put with the other trio (she has lived with them before. Them the pair of females are going to be bonded with the remaining male & female. I did a little checking this morning on compatibility introducing each of the pair of females with the female from the trio & there was no fighting or teeth grinding though in was only for a few minutes.

Good Luck with your bonding.

Thanks stewybus, I did think of that but only after I first put them together and saw the first response.

I think that the only way I can make the move from the Summerhouse is definately c&c and run it over both work tops as they are an L shape joined together. A bit of a pain as I keep the microwave and hot plate in there. KNICKERS!!:cen:

Piggies are very good at not behaving as you'd like them to! I would also recommend keeping them next door to each other and they will hopefully relax more over time to see whether share run/lawn time will work eventually.

Just one very or two dominant sows can give you major headaches!
