Hi all, We are new Guinea pig owners - Got two free males from different people (locally).. They squeak lots at each other - So we let them out together in a sealed room - One of them constantly tries to mount the other.. The mounted Guinea pig squeaks and runs away. They haven't done any fighting - Just this mounting for over an hour...

Hi and welcome!

It sounds pretty par for the course. How old are your boys? When bonding piggies please always have a plan B at the ready in case things don't work out. Please do not separate boars unless they fights, otherwise they will have to start right back in square one. Make sure that you have everything in twos when moving them to a completely cleaned and re-arranged large cage. leave out any houses that have only one exit until they boys are safely bonded. Make sure that you have got everything in twos, the same item placed at least a body length or more away from the other.
