Hi,
I have two new baby girl guinea pigs, and would just like some general adivce, I know at this stage (a couple days of having them) they are still going to be very timid and shy. I just would like to clarify the sounds that they make. How can you tell the difference between a happy "squeak" and a upset "squeak". Also they make this loud sort of purring sound when i pet her while she is in the cage. Sort like a click crossed with a squeak. This would also be helpful as one of them seems to be the alpha female and i am not sure if the sound the little one is making is happy when the alpha female tries to show her authority, They seem to fight sometimes and nick each others food, should i just let them get on with it as some of the time they are happy enough cuddled up together in the corner of the cage?
Any advice or general help would be grately appriciated.
