Wilbur has two bald patches the size of a pound coin right behind his ears. Is this normal? I can’t get a picture as I don’t want to pick him up yet. I’m worried it’s ring worm!

Hi

As rule of thumb for a new owner, anything symmetrical on both sides on the body is harmless. Most piggies have a bald patch behind the ears in order to enable body temperature control, which happens by increased or decreased blood flow through the ears. The shape of those patches is individual but it should be the same on both sides.
