Hey, I have noticed for a while now that when I put my guinea pigs up on my shoulder under my chin they make this very quiet 'tut' noise that is sometimes accompanied by clucking and they also go very soft and sometimes even allow me to turn them over and stroke their tummy. It seems like really happy behaviour but I just thought I'd ask if anyone elses piglets do this and what it means exactly. Are they really being affectionate?

i have heard that some piggies will purr so maybe this is what you are hearing. the purring sound (i have never heard it) means the piggy likes what you are doing and is enjoying themselves. O0 welcome to you to the forums from me and the girs in oz and sending hugs your way :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:
