I want to tell this little picture story in memory of my sweetie Mischief who would have been five years old this month. She was my only "kisser" and the loudest wheeker for food on earth!

This story is for Ava (KingBoris) and all the other little girls!

Please wait for all five installments.

Hello! This is Mischief. She is blind - but you wouldn't notice, would you?

One day, first one eye went blind very quickly, and a few weeks later the other followed. Mischief was very down, because it was like she was living with a thick sheet of white paper in front of her eyes. (Try and see what you can see!)

Her friend Minx came and tried to lick her poorly eyes clean, but that didn't help, either!

But after a bit, Mischief picked herself up and was soon queuing up for outings in the garden again!

She had to learn to move around by memory, smell and the touch of her whiskers. After that, she was busy hiding in the border and nibbling on all those luscious leaves!

And she still loved her food! When the first melon of the summer was offered, she forgot all table manners and just scoffed!

You should carry on and turn it into a childrens book ,lovely story.

Mischief was VERY good at wheeking for food. She started wheeking politely about a quarter of an hour before dinner time.

But when dinner was late, she jumped right up on the hut and complained so loudly that the neighbours could hear her through the wall!

Mischief was so keen to get at her food that she forgot to use the new ramp and rather climbed over the rail.

She made sure she didn't miss out on anything!

IMG_2321_edited-1.jpg

And kept a (blind) eye on everything her human slave was doing, just in case it was edible.

At Christmas, Mischief enjoyed rustling with the paper wrapping for hours on end.

If you think that a blind piggy cannot learn new tricks, you'd be wrong. Little Mischief discovered a way to topple her hay bale...

IMG_3096_edited-3.jpg

...and then find the opening, sneak in and go to sleep! To say the least, it's not the first place one looks for a blind piggy that has gone missing!

So if you ever hear anybody say that they are turning a blind eye to the mischief you're making, you know there is a whole different meaning to it!

You've told her story so beautifully, and such a pretty little girl, too.

Aww Mischief was a lovely piggy and I love your photo's of her and little Minx. Your stories always bring a tear to my eye. I can imagine Mischief and Minx playing together now up at Rainbow Bridge. Both girls were a real credit to you. Sleep peacefully gorgeous girls xxxxxx

What a lovely story - i did have to laugh at the picture of mischief asleep in the hay bag thats a brillant picture

What a wonderful story. Mischief is adoreable. What a brave wee girl she is.

Love your pics and story, I'm new here and just wondered if i could ask you a question.........
Do i see your guinea pigs eating Roses?
They must have a lovely time running round your garden, i wish i could do that but its not safe in my garden.

I don't spray as a principle. This was a rose bloom broken by heavy rain. In truth, the pigs had more fun taking it apart than eating it!

Wiebeke, this story and the pigtures brought me to tears, such lovely ladies. It's lovely to see best friends develop their friendships. I'm in love. RIP sweet piggies, your mommy still thinks of you all the time so watch out for her and keep her safe xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I've had a really difficult today with piggy problems galore and this really made me smile. Thank you to you and the two little cherubs. RIP girls.

When I got Mischief from a shop, she was just a tiny bundle of bones and fur (no meat at all) that completely freaked out for the first three months just sitting on my lap, whether I touched her or not! My little drama queen has come a long way...

Bless that is a very sweet story, definately a book in it I am sure lotso f piggy lovers would like to read it :)

lovely story... great pictures too...

What a wonderful story! Thanks for sharing. The pictures are all adorable! R.I.P darling girl x

That is a lovely story and very encouraging.Misty the little blind piggie is now living in a cage with Flora the old blind piggie. Just thought I would try them together so that they wouldnt be in competition with the herd at feeding time, and I can monitor more easily how much food they are getting . So far they seem very happy together . It means that they dont have as much space to run around but I hope they will feel more secure. Thanks for the help.
