I need some ideas for a cheap tunnel, or somewhere hidey with two holes, not fabric, needs to plastic as it's for my foster piggies (:

Thankies!

I use a lot of upside-down cardboard boxes with holes cut out and pick up the cardboard tubing from the carpet shop. All free. And for hygiene purposes are throw away after quarantine of foster pigs.

I get carpet tubes from my local carpet shop for free - cut them up in 10" lengths and when the piggies go home they can take their tunnel with them.

I got large plastic drain pipes, from the equivalent of your B&Q, with the 3 way connector for about 2 euros i think! :(|)

Have a look round newly planted wooded areas where you live. New trees get plastic tubes put round them to stop wild animals eating them. I salvaged half a dozen of them that had been blown over. My piggies love hiding in them. ;)

i collect empty boxes from our office and cut oles either side of them and turn them upside down, my OH also brings home large cardboard tubes whihc have wire delivered on, these are nice and easy, they dont look pretty but I don't think the boys really care ;)

If i used the drain pipe style tunnel, what size opening should it have to be safe for a piggy ?
