We’re new to piggies and have had our rescue pair of boys for just over a month. They are settling in really well and becoming more confident around us. But the more confident they become to show what they want and like, the more one of them refuses to be held. We pick him up for run time in a tube or soft bed, but he wriggles really hard to get out of our clutches! He’s definitely not going to be a cuddler which is fine, but does anyone have any suggestions on how we keep him still for grooming (he’s a silkie so has quite long hair that moults everywhere!) and nail trimming? We don’t want to make it a fight and a really stressful experience for him.

I use treats like a piece of lettuce, cucumber, or sprig of cilantro to trim my piggies nails in order to keep them still. Best of luck with the nail trimming and grooming!
