I just wrecked my pigs 70x40 cage, really need a new one. It was really crappy quality and all the connectors snapped and each side of the bars would spring apart and make it impossible to fit back together.

Can any one recommend a good quality one about this size (maybe very slightly bigger) that's cheap as possible without being second hand? x

ta guys. x :)

I bought my grids off amazon pretty cheap. It was meant to be a storage rack but it's the same as a c&c. I think they were about £30

OH, i should have said this, haha. don't worry I'm not that cruel! haha
I already have an 8x2 C&C. I used to have that one your talking about too, I really loved it.
I just need a little cage though because coco just passed away and I want to be able to take Luna everywhere with me when I stay over at anyones house so she's never alone.
So it's just a little portable overnight stay cage I'm looking for her?

Cheap, small & Sturdy

Ah I see. I'm so sorry to hear about coco. You did everything you could and she was lucky to have such a caring mum. My two travel lots with me and when travelling they are in a cat carrier, the type with a top opener so they can see more and then I have a dog pen type thing that connects together with metal pins. This was also from Amazon and knowing me it wouldn't have been expensive. Do you want me to see if I can find it on my history?

There's loads on there. I'd chose one with a waterproof bottom so you could then do the towel and fleece thing with minimal mess. Some of the ones like you've chosen I think have removable bottoms so it could be used outside on grass too.

Thank you, & yeah, could you see if you can find anything better, I don't know if this might be a little big.
I'm trying to make it so when i do take her i don't annoy anyone by dragging all this stuff it to their house lol.

...........she is a bit actually but he gets bored of it quicky. better with metal maybe hmm

Oh, it is quite big. I'd go for the canvas one like you found. They prob fold up small. The one I have is the one from bunny business. 8 panel playpen but there is a 6 panel one on there. Failing that, what about getting some grids held together with cable ties so it folds up in one go and the cut some fluted board to size to fit inside it? Depends if your friends have any predators

might just risk getting something like this again, but that's two i've had that have fallen apart because the wire has had plastic corner supports that snapped and the whole thing springs open and can't be put back together even with cable ties.

I know you said you wanted new but how about a second hand ferplast one which you can disinfect thoroughly?

Yeah, i suppose that would be fine actually. I just get para that i'll pass on infection incase another animal passed away of something contagious in it. But I'm just being paranoid, that would be fine as long as I disinfect it thoroughly.
I'll have a look.

Try gumtree, preloved or eBay. They are always my favourites. As long as you go OCD on the disinfecting you should be fine.

I'll probably sell my ferplast 120 when I move into the new house next month if you want it. Or is 120cm to big?

Thanks guys. I'll check those sites & I really like that hamster cage actually.

@Harry&lloyd that was so kind of you to offer, but I need something I can carry myself. I have one I think is about 120 in the loft somewhere and trying to carry it on my own was a joke, poor pigs tumbling all over the place, haha. X

@Wiebke that's what I've done with the base of this one, except I cut a door in it because Lunas little disabled feet stop her being able to hop in it, poor babe lol. I have to adapt bloomin everything that's more than a cm of the floor lol
