Hi I'm still looking for a dvd recorder - takes me ages to find one I'm after!

I'm trying to work out about this freeview issue, i was palnning to buy one with integrated freeview as my new tv is digital and id like the option of recording one prog and watching another on digital.

If i buy a recorder with freeview will it only have a digital tuner and then it wont record analogue progs? at the mo I'm waiting to get someone out about the signal here as if it rains freeview wont work!

So far I'm liking these recorders:

I am someone who faffs around for ages when it comes to parting with £200+ as i want the best one and theres just too many dvd recorders out there!

Which do you thinks a good one to go for?

Thanks :)

I would go for Sony every time - the picture/sound quality is far superior in my (humble :)) experience. We had a Wharfedale TV a few years ago and it did nothing but break down - we had to get it repaired in the first years warranty as well as after, although saying that the Wharfedale video we had nearly 6 years ago is still going.......

I don't really know about watching one thing and recording another - we've got cable so for us to do it I think it would have been better to have the TV with a freeview tuner in it but i don't really know, sorry. O0
