We have 3 female guinea pigs. After 7 weeks on anti-biotics (for laboured breathing), the smallest pig has recently been diagnosed with a blocked right lung. We don't know what it is blocked with. We have decided to keep nebulising her and supporting her in whatever (non-invasive) way we can. At the moment she seems well (apart from her breathing) and no longer being on the antibiotics is obviously better for her - she had kept herself to herself for some time now, but is now more sociable. I'm curious about her present behaviour. She is frequently trying to get into the hidey house which contains 1 of the other 2 and is constantly being nipped to tell her to go away. She persists. She occasionally gets in. Any ideas on what she's up to?

If sounds as if the other piggy is more dominant than this pig (the poorly one), and the other pig does not want her to be in that hidey house.

How many hideys do you have for your piggies?

She’s probably looking for a bit of companion comfort from her mates x
Hopes she gets better soon x

Yes, the poorly pig is the least dominant - we have 3 hidey houses, so I guess the other 2 are being bossy

I think you may be correct - we love her, why can't they?! Also, she is often out with us, getting extra feed, nebulising etc - the other 2 have probably picked up on this and may be jealous/even more bossy?
