Trooping of the Colour

Did anyone see the Trooping of the Colour today ?
I thought it was magnificent.
It must have been a bittersweet occasion for the King though.
Last year he did it on behalf of the Queen, this year as King.
I thought that at the end after the fly past when the crowds cheered him and sang the National Anthem that he looked quite moved by it all.
Makes you proud to be British

I come from a military family so am always in awe of the meticulous precision of the parades. And as for the horses …. just wish mine would stand still for 30 seconds let alone 30 minutes

I had my fair share of pomp and ceremony during my military service, unfortunately, I was rather busy at work today. That said, my patrol car was a full veteran zone today. Me - ex acting sergeant and my patrol partner ex sergeant major.

I have also watched it. It was a wonderful spectacle. Loved the fly past afterwards. Made up for the curtailed one due to the weather on coronation day.
