Has anyone managed to bond a trio successfully (un-related) or is it a disaster (I'm having huge problems and may be attempting the impossible). Thanks.

I have a bonded trio. 2 of them have grown up together and I bonded them with Fluffy who is 5 1/2 when her cage mate died about 6 months ago. I found it very easy but I took my time over it.
Having a divider for a couple of weeks and daily floor time together. They have been together for about 5 month now and get on very well.
I guess I was very lucky.

I have 4 unrelated boars (well 2 are brothers) currently living together and a group of 5 sows.
I've had no problems with either apart from making sure they have enough fresh food to go around.

Thanks for the encouragement (squabbling is putting it mildly at the moment - guess I'll persevere as long as no-one appears to be committing murder!)

I have bonded 5 sows successfully but never boars and I do think it can be a long process but it is well worth it if it is a success good luck and maybe keep trying if they arent fighting :-\

We have a bonded trio of boars and a bonded group of 7, 6 sows and 1 neutred boar. With the group of 7 we had the odd scuffle for the first couple of days - they had originally been 2 trios and netured boar was new to the mix. The boars amazingly hit it off from day one! Had a pair and added the third boy when he lost his buddy. They have their off days, we get a bit of teeth chattering from time to time but it's usually over something silly and is forgotten in an instant.

Good luck with your bonding, stick at it - lots of food helps! ;)
