I’m not sure about piggies that young. But I think you trim when they are starting to look too long. I don’t remember if yours have while nails. If they do then there has to be a gap between the end of the quick (blood supply) and the nail so you can cut safely without cutting the quick. It’s more difficult to judge when they’re black. Perhaps post a photo then we can say whether they may need cutting.
