Trim?

So Bacon has quite long hair at the back (longer than Smokey’s), it doesn’t really get in the way or anything it’s just long, I was wondering if I should give it a wee trim or not?

My Honey used to have longer hair on her bottom. I never bothered trimming until she got older, and I found it got grubbier, probably where she was moving less. So I would just trim it to the length of the rest of her hair. Unless it's causing an issue for your piggy, I probably wouldn't bother

I hated cutting of Betsy's beautiful skirt (it was around 3" long) but it was getting all matted with wee, poop and boar glue and she was very grumpy when I tried to brush it out. I cut it off and she was a lot happier as it didn't get caught in stuff and grooming was a lot easier. She now has a regular trim. If it's not causing any problems I'd just leave it. If it starts to get matted even after a good bum bath then give it a trim.

I still havent given Blodwen's skirts a trim, I might wait until spring because it wouldnt be nice suddenly having a cold drafty bum in this weather, especially as piggy daddy is so rubbish at closing doors to keep the cold out!
