Hi, I've taken my guinea girls to France, on the ferry, pre Brexit with no difficulties.
However, I know things have changed a bit re travel with animals now.
Can anyone advise what I need to do now?
Thank you, Ellaxx

Hi, me again! I've found the answer! The guinea pigs do need a health check form completed by a vet, no more than 10 days before we travel to France. The form ( and parasite treatment) will cost £120 for the first guinea, then £20 for each of the others!
Expensive, but worth it to take our girls with us❤️.x

Thanks for the update.
Good to know you sorted it out.

In these situations it is always best to speak with the carrier direct, to make sure you meet their specific guidelines and rules.

Hi! Very helpful answer, thanks! Was this with Eurotunnel? Because their form mentions says "The animals referred to above have been examined on the day of their loading". Thanks!

Hi, sorry, just seen this! We are travelling with Brittany ferries. As far as I am aware we don't need to do anything extra to bring them back into England. The girls will be in our motorhome. Fingers crossed it will all go smoothly 🤞🤞.
