Travel?

Hello, i just wanted to ask a question and was unsure on where to put it really, i just wanted to know, how piggies are with travelling, i live in Plymouth, Devon, basically edge of cornwall, but my dad lives in london and every now and then i spend a week up there or something, and if i went i'd love to be able to take my piggies, although i just wasn't sure how long is suitable for piggies to travel and would it cause too much distress ?
They would be in a carry case, not there cage.
I do have the option of putting them in a cat carrier if needs be also

I put my boys in a cat carrier and take them to norfolk once or twice a year (about 4 hours from me) They seem fine with this and love the attention they get in the car. I would think it depends how much it stressed out the piggies.

when i took my piggie barney to the vet he went in a cat carrier an loved it especialy when i gave him his fav treats through the bars and the cat carrier is better as you can put a water bottle on the bars
