Travel by plane for a guinea pig

Hi all! I'm currently in Bs As Argentina due to family health issues I need to be here for a while . I got my guinea pig Jerry in England where I lived for 22 years and I'm ready to bring him to Argentina. But I got my worries and concerns about travel on a plane if may be some risk for his health. Has someone knows more about traveling with pigies that travels for over 12 hours on a plane? Thank you for any advice will help!

A lot of the tips in the guide apply to any type of travel.

We do also have this guide but it is 11 years old now and things may no longer be the same
The biggest considerations are quarantine when you get him there, and discussions with the airline about how they transport them (ie piggies aren’t usually allowed in the cabin)
