I now know why Midnight is scared all the time. When I first got her, she was very scared as the employees were picking her up, I took her home and she was really scared. A few months later, my brother was handling her, she managed to slip out of his hands and jump extremely high where she landed and injured her leg terribly. It healed then, but ever since she's been extremely cautious, jumps, and squeaks everywhere she's touched. It could be her hand and she would still be scared. I don't know what to do, but I wish my baby would open up to me. I don't pick her up often because I'm told to give her some space and she'll calm down but that hasn't worked at all. I've kept her close to me and conceal her of the heights but it still doesn't work. How can I heal her trauma?

Sounds as only time and lots of patience will heal her trauma.
If she’s physically fine, eating and drinking, weeing and pooping normally then it’s probably just time until she feels safe with you.

She may always be a nervous piggy in which case a safe, loving home is a precious gift for her.

I'm so glad you said this to me! I decided to let her relax with me for 30 minutes while stroking her back, and she was no longer tensed up. She relaxed, and then eventually, well pee on my bed. She was suddenly calm
and let me pick her up without squeaking in fear. Today she got out of her hiding spot and decided to relax in the middle of her cage. It made me real happy to know my piggy is getting calmer and feeling safer. I'm goin to repeat this method for 2 more weeks and see the results!

Lots of hand feeding her favourite veggies can help build up trust and she will get to realise “out time” on your lap as a pleasant experience
