Since my boys have decided they'd rather live next door to each other I'm in the need for some more cage linings.

I saw the Fleece Flippers here: http://www.guineapigmarket.com/fleece-flippers Which are a genius invention! Trouble is it's pretty expensive to get them shipped to the UK so I was thinking of having a go at making some.
They use transit blankets as the absorbent layer beneath the fleece which in the US are made of cotton.
The only transit blankets I can find here seem to be made of a wool/cotton mix or only wool.

Has anyone used transit blankets in the UK for cage lining?
Or do you know if the wool version would still be absorbent?

lots of people use cotton wadding or batting. i have also read alot about bamboo wadding which is more enviromentally friendly and has some antibacterial properties so will smell less. you can find both on ebay for a good price.

Thanks for the tip, I have looked it up and think I will give it a try! :)
