Should you have different toys/little houses in the run than what is in their cage?

I have been moving the toys back and forth between the run and their cage(s), not sure if they need the extra stimulation of different hideaways/toys.

I have different things outside the cage and vary them, to keep the pigs alert.

You can build little hurdles for the younger pigs (a long ruler over two sideways parceltape rolls, for example). The older ones have more fun pushing the ruler down...

I bought a small dog bed at discount and drape an old bath towel over it, so the top is covered and the sides are overhung. The pigs love racing round the tunnelly bend I've created and crawling inside for a little cucumber treat and a nap.

Any soap boxes with one end or both ends off are fun.

Turn your laundry basket upside down and stick a tube in, so they can sneak underneath.

Bring smelly things in - a saucer that has had a bit of fruit juice in, for example. Great for sniffing and licking!

My pigs have a small dogs bed in their run that I bought at a car boot sale for 50p. I have it upside down so that it gives them extra shelter but they love climbing on top of it. 50p well spent. I have tunnels as well - the ones that you can pull into different shapes but their poos get caught in them YUK!

Thanks all! You've given me some good ideas! :)

of course more are welcomed! ;)
