Does anyone know the correct technique for this? Even though my pigs are chilled out and are handled every day, they just wriggle loose when I wrap them :(

I actually use a restraint bag. :))

I do know towel wrapping but find it takes a lot of practice to get it just right. I can't even explain but will get pictures as I wrap the Chosen Pig for their 'molar- checking photo shoot'!

Oh yes they do look good! I reckon I could make one - I studied dressmaking and pattern cutting for two years!

Towel wrapping...or in this case, pillowcase wrapping pics. For references' sake, I'll just say towel. Willing model is Frankie. :))

Lift the towel up over the pigs' shoulders while standing him upright. You want to have the top of the towel just over the head, as when you lay down, it pulls down to the right position. Hold the pig around the back of his shoulders as you lay him down, and begin the next step as soon as he is on his back.

Bring one side across, confining the first front leg, and tuck underneath the pig. Bring the bottom of this across also to tuck under the pig for extra security.

Bring the second side across - confining the other foot - and wrap all around the pig, leaving it tucked underneath. And voila! One safely towel wrapped guinea pig.

The real knack is learning how 'tight' to wrap. Too tight is not good, but too loose means front feet getting in the way the second you try to start doing anything! Regular practice really does help here.

Oh they are great pics! Thank you for taking the trouble of illustrating the instructions. Frankie is a cutie pie - and so very well behaved!

I can't wait to have a go tomorrow. Fuzzypeg has had too much of an ordeal to be my practice piggie. I will save that pleasure for Pearl. Poor Pearl :))

I do find the restraint bags are so much easier to secure. It does take a bit of practice to even use those though.

As soon as he is placed in the bag, Dexter tucks his head in so I can't separate his face and feet!

When wrapped correctly with the restraint bags, you should end up with an impossibly cute little face staring at you, as Frankie demonstrates so nicely. :))

Oh what a sweet little face looking out of the bag! :<>

I do rather like the look of those restraint bags. They do the job very nicely it seems.

those bags are so cute! I have been having awful trouble wrapping tiger with his feet all over the place trying not to break them when holding tight as he insists on sticking them out, trying to crawl out and biting the towel and holding onto it so I can't do it :))
