We have a 2 x 1 loft on our C&C cage and I can't help but feel it's a little... not unstable exactly but when one or both are upstairs (they're using the ramp yay!) the cage shakes a little.

I've also noticed that the bottoms grids are bowing ever so slightly but I've seen this in some pictures of others' lofts.
Is this normal? I'm considering demolishing the loft if the gets worse.

I have this problem slightly, it just doesn't look safe although it's been up several months now, however my plan (when i find the time) is to find a piece of square wood like a long piece, the same width etc as the individual grid squares and have it long enough to go under the upper level and across to slot through the other grid on the other side to create just a support beam underneath the loft,

something like this

That's a pretty good idea! I've seen lengths of wood like that at B&Q :) Thanks!
