Tooth growing

Hi,

Just needed some advice. My little Samwise who is a real fighter because he fought of an dental infection about two months ago. Eveything was going great and he gained weight and there was no more infection. A few weeks ago he chipped his teeth and he is starting to grow a new one. But I feel like it's growing kind of crooked and wrong. Am I right? Should I take him to the vet? Is it supposed to look like that when it's growing? Are there ways to help him in the mean time? It almost looks like two tooth are growing, am I seeing it right? Thank you for the advice

@weepweeps had a piggy whose tooth grew a bit like that after having a tooth root abscess. It does look like he’s growing two teeth?

I’d weigh him daily and make sure he isn’t losing any weight, if he is losing weight, he isn’t eating enough hay.

I think if he were mine, I’d be inclined to pop him back to the vets just to make sure everything is ok x

I’ve been away this week and came back early so I could get Pepper checked out at the vets. He’s not eating very well. I couldn’t get him in at the vets before
I went away as it was the long 4 day bank holiday and our vets were not making any appointments. Anyway I’ve got back early and looked at his teeth. They look wonky so hopefully they will just need a little straightening up tomorrow.

It’s hard to tell but Samwise’s looks like it’s growing from lower down as well.

Thank you! I will schedule an appointment to the vet! He seems to be eating fine for now. I will weight him daily to make sure he doesn't lose the weight he just put on recently . He needs teeth trimming every two months. So I will be able to do that at the vet at the same time!

Yes it seems to be growing lower, like in his gums. I will take him to the vet. I wouldn't want him to make another abcess. He had one on his neck/lower jaw when he had the infection a few months ago.

Good luck at the vets. A jaw abscess can “kill”the tooth.
