My guinea pig, Storm, fell out of his cage the other day. We're talking a one meter fall - I have since made sure the cage bars are tall enough for this to not happen again. I can't afford taking him to a vet now during the weekend but will be taking him Monday. He doesn't seem to have any broken bones and is moving around just fine, but hasn't been eating and is clearly in pain since he sits still and puffed up most of the time. Today, when I fed him with a syringe for the first time, I realized why he hasn't been eating.

Both his front teeth are broken off by the base. They hang on by slivers but are both loose. I'm worried they might fall off entirely and that he might choke on them. Is there anything I can do to make sure this doesn't happen before Monday? Can I remove them myself? Should I avoid picking him up etc?

Also, I'm feeding him a mixture of pellets and baby food (only veggies). How much should he be fed, and how often?

Update: I have removed the teeth after advice from a vet. Storm is bleeding a little bit. I read somewhere I have to clean out the empty space in his gums after feeding him to make sure bacteria etc doesn't get in the way. How would I go about doing this?
Also, I've read the page on syringe feeding on here. Sorry for asking questions I could've found on there ^^; I was a bit panicked.

We would always encourage a prompt vet check after a fall from that height (to check for internal injuries) particularly if he is showing signs of pain.

You will need to weigh him daily so you can be sure you are getting enough syringe feed into him in each 24 hour period to ensure he doesn’t lose weight.

I am getting him to a vet ASAP - which is Monday, unfortunately. I called around every local vet near me the moment he fell and none had the capacity for more patients. I will weigh him daily! Thank you for the tip.
