We have 11 piggies indoors this week! :o fostering two boars after their neuter and still have another 3 fosters waiting for rehome. My own 6 are also in - needless to say the house smells a bit piggy.....;) I have a huge 3 story hutch outside with waterproof covers - they have fleece pigloos tea bag bedding megazorb and straw which I could use to insulate so could I maybe pop my own 6 back outdoors now the weather is milder? They have been out in the run lots for the last few weeks during nicer days...all a good weight and over a year old....?

My piggies have just started going out in the runs once the dampness of the night has gone, bringing them back in by 4 when the temp starts dropping again.

I won't be moving my lot out to the summer shed until May, once the chances of a sudden drop in overnight temps has gone - the majority of the sudden deaths that have occurred this winter have been on the nights the temps dipped suddenly. Having over 50 pigs indoors can get a bit whiffy the day before cleaning out but it's worth it to know that they are safe and warm too.

Hmm... Yes the weather has been a bit deceiving this week - it could drop again - it was so hot yesterday in the room they are kept in, that made them smell more! :... Will leave them indoors a bit longer, thanks Suzy xx
