I could not decide whether I wanted to post this here or in behavior, so please feel free to change accordingly.
I know that no pee is a cause for concern but I am wondering about peeing too much.
My two boys get out in a run attached to their hutch everyday. Today they got a fresh picnic blanket (for the flooring), I want to change these as they are not the best but we are still looking through options, and they managed to produce 10 pees.
I cleaned up two during the day and tonight when I closed them down for the night I dried up 7 pee patches plus 1 in their plastic tunnel. This is quite unheard of, generally I find two patches on the blanket in one day. I can not say whether they are peeing inside their hutch on a normal day, but 10 pees in one day on the blanket is unheard of.
I also noticed their fleece has gotten damp very quickly, they got changed two days ago and their bed area is already soaking, I am going to have to change it tomorrow when it normally lasts the whole week.
They then came out for veggies (onto my lap, on a towel), which they do almost overnight so I can get some cuddles and feed them more closely. They were out for around 40 minutes, which usually consists of a couple poops from Reggie and maybe a pee from Reggie, so a single pee would not be particularly unusual. My older boy Winston does not pee or poop on me at all really, he is a fine gentleman.
Well tonight Winston peed on me twice and Reggie peed on me twice, which is really unheard of.
Their water bottle has been going down quite quick, perhaps a little more than usual in the past week, but it also leaks quite a bit so I was not too worried about this.
Weather changes may be at play, but our heatwave was last week and it has been a lot cooler this week with rain and thunder, but still quite warm. And I did not notice this in the height of the heatwave either.
So what I am wondering is, is this cause for concern health wise? If not, what would be?
