Too early for floor time?

Hi everyone,

We have successfully found our neutered boar Phoenix a friend, our little Ophelia is 8 weeks old thanks to a local Rescue. Our very fear aggressive sow is living alongside so I think we have found a good arrangement for everyone for now.

Phoenix and Ophelia are sleeping in close proximity, sharing food, eating together - Phoenix is still rumblestrutting a lot, bit of chasing here and there, and I am guessing they are still sorting out dominance etc.

Is it too early to give the two of them them floor time, given this will be more new territory?

I would think that they are safe for roaming time if they are happy together in between the normal mild dominance shenanigans.
It is not like boars-only pairs (especially teenage ones) or two very skittish arrivals that you have gradually introduce to pet life in a home. You have already one settled piggy that will teach the other one the ropes.

Yes that's true! Ophelia tends to bolt at the slightest noise whilst Phoenix holds his ground wondering what on earth that was for?! Haha. Thanks x
