Tons of bugs found in new hay ? Please help !

Hi everyone,

I didn't know what forum this problem falls under - apologies if it’s the wrong one!

I recently switched hay providers and since then I’ve suddenly seen tons of these dead bugs all over my guinea pigs’ stuff... They’re about the size of an ant, and I haven’t seen any live ones, only dead ones (but there are loads of them).

Does anyone know what they could be? I’ve never come across this before, and I know it’s not static (hay) lice or any other parasite to guinea pigs but I'm still a bit unsettled.

I spent £50 on this hay... so I expected high quality and am quite disappointed. Literally advice would be greatly appreciated <3

I would contact the place you got the hay from and ask for a refund or replacement

I'm going to ask for a refund I think, I don't want a replacement
