How do you get your pigs to use one area of the hutch more for toileting?
they have really trashed their hutch this week and I'm still overwhelmed with all the choices of materials to use inside the hutch. I bought wood shavings and then I saw all the uproar on here about it and now I dont know what to domallethead

If your pigs are not sensitive to wood shavings it's not necessarily bad for them, especially not if you have hay on top.

I know, there are so many choices for bedding! It's not like you can say that there's one right bedding choice. You're gonna have to try it out and see what works for your piggies :)

Getting pigs to use one area for toileting can be hard... Piggies are not quite like rabbits that choose a "toilet". In the wild piggies roam and don't return to the same place until the grass has grown back, so they don't need to worry about "waste". Generally they will wee and poo where they eat and sleep.

They were in a pen with shavings when I bought them and so I just bought the same. There is so much to consider lol, rocket science? xx>>>

Maybe i'll see how I get on. I have a piggie with a skin problem already, but we've had him less than two weeks so I don't think its anything i've done.

They seem to be in pee and poop overdrive this week!
