Hi

TK is about 9 months old now and as some of you will already know he fell out with his cage mate Cesaro, now I'm not getting anywhere fast with waiting for the rescue to get a baby in for us to bond him with so I have a couple of questions.

1. Can we bond him with an OLDER guinea pig or would they clash like him and Cesaro did? I was thinking that an older boar would be less hormonal?

2. Will he be ok in the meantime next to the older boars and should we lower the correx so he can see them or will that cause issues between the older boars? (I noticed when Cesaro and TK were doing all the chattering/rumbling etc. it was making the older boars squabble).

3. If anyone has any ideas please feel free to post them here. I don't want to leave TK without a friend for too long UNLESS he'll be perfectly fine next to the boars... the only problem is though, once Cesaro has been neutered and hopefully goes in with the sows (after the six weeks), the cages will be rearrange so TK will be in a two tier cage with the other hormonal boars lol (not together obviously).

Thanks

I've read plenty of posts before that have said guinea pigs can happily live next to each other like you e said about. Though I don't know about one single boar me t to an already bonded pair... I would have thought it would cause problems, but then it's a territory thing, so perhaps it's fine when they are in their own cages (if that makes sense?)

Yeap it does.. hmmm, I just don't want to take the correx side down and then the older boars start arguing lol.

I have a recently single boar and another very happily bonded pair, but I'm too scared to let them live or greet each other just next to each other as would hate for them to fall out!
