Hi there,
We have a two tier hutch (in hindsight I wish I never bought it up I can’t afford to buy another) and today I’ve lines it with an extra long fleece tunnel.

I left the tunnel in the girls run to get used to it & princess loved it and fell asleep in it, so far so good.
So now I’ve attached to ramp and they haven’t been near it! I’ve lined it with dill which they love ... no one is sniffing it out!
Any experiences / advice you can give lovely people?
Many thanks

You could try putting Cumcumber bits going up the ladder and that should help , but they have to feel confident in doing this it takes time ,but when they done it they will love it !, hope it helps

Hi, I just replied to a similar thread so I'm going to be lazy and copy my answer here! :)

Does the ramp have sides or can you add some? Maybe some sort of tunnel over it so it's more enclosed. A lot of piggies don't like using open ramps. They prefer some cover.

Also is there enough grip on the ramp? Maybe add some bits of carpet so your piggies have something to grip on. This might help.

Lastly make sure the ramp isn't too steep. You could lift the bottom of the ramp onto a hide of some sort to make the angle less steep. Hope that makes sense!

Thanks... as per my post I have just put a fleece tunnel on the ramp so soft grip for their feet. X

I have a ramp in my two tier indoor cage. I fixed carpet to the ramp and it has a fleece ramp tunnel on it. I’ve also tested the bottom of the ramp on to a block of wood to make it less steep. My pigs love to do zoomies up and down it :)
Did they take awhile to get the hang of it!?
My little princess made it up half way with enticing cucumber but she reversed back down and ran into her hides to eat it! 😂
My ramp is fixed unfortunately.. I can’t make it less steep 😢

I was lucky and they started using it as soon as I put the ramp tunnel on. Try not to worry. They'll soon get used to it :)
