So, I recently got a guinea pig and a lot of accessories (2 months ago). Her name is Marley and she is about 10 months old. I read all the time that guinea pigs are the sweetest and most affectionate animals but I just don't see that in Marley. Every time I stick my hand in her cage to do anything like fill up her food bowl she clatters her teeth and shows discomfort. She will run around her cage and make a large mess when I try to pick her up. She has a very large rabbit cage. So if you guys have any tips to helping me get her to be more affectionate, I would appreciate it.
Also, about potty training...
She urinates and poops a LOT. Like a ton. I know this may be normal, but is there a way to get her to do it in only one part of her cage or something like that? And when I do pick her up and hold her, she likes to urinate on me every once and a while. Is this normal?
Any other random tips are appreciated. If you want to know what toys she has, what I feed her, etc ask away!
Thanks
Ethan
