Hi guys!
Lately, Coco and Oreo have been tipping over their hidey houses. I would come home every day to see a bunch of houses flipped upside down with poop and pee in them. Their house is plastic so is that why it is so easy for the houses to tip over? Also, are they doing this on purpose are on accident? I am so confused! Please help! Thanks!

Hello :)
my guinea pigs have tipped over and moved their igloo a bunch of times! I think it just means they wanna play and are curious. I am sure they are doing it on purpose but just to have fun! If your guinea pigs are litter box trained, they may be also showing you that they wanna “go” in something! There’s nothing you can really do to stop it unless you avert their attention by giving them lots of toys/other things to do like toilet paper rolls (mine play hours with them lol). Pigs are so silly sometimes

Some guinea pigs just fancy themselves as interior designers and don't like how you arrange the cage  I think sometimes they think it's rude to tell us, so they just rearrange and redecorate themselves and hope you don't notice!
...sorry, lol. But no really, it's normal. Maybe the hideys are blocking a zoomies circuit, or just happened to be in the way and it's easier to go through than go around. Or they want to move a hidey closer to their food, nothing like breakfast in bed, amirite?

Mine do this, too! They only have fleece hideys, but they're always turning them around, upside down, into flat beds etc.

My pigs flip over the pigloo on a regular occasion, though not all the time. I think it happens when they are either tussling for space inside the same one or while trying to walk and drag it with them like a shell on a tortoise!

My lot regularly sleep under their lovely fleece lined and snuggly warm if you are inside them snuggle sacks, they turn carrot cottages into boats and tip over food bowls just for fun. I'm sure as @Lorcan has said they don't like the place you put things. Very often I find the snuggle tube that I have put at the top of the hutch halfway down the ramp and piggies stuck at the top because they can't go through the snuggle tube!

haha yes mine are highly skilled at house tipping. Connie likes to use her shoulders, she kinda just launches them in the doorway. Wanda likes to try and enter from the back, ie not the doorway and so it gets tipped. Amber likes to burrow under the fleece and undermines them. The boys don't tip theirs as much, but when it happens it's mostly because of Owen's less than gracefull dismount from the top or Russ not realising how big he is and ploughing through.
