Found a tick on archies nose today, which has been removed now, we have special tick removal tweezers. He was so sweet, hardly even flinched.
Thought I would let everyone here in the UK know, this time of year is often the worst for ticks, I remember previous springs getting ticks on our dog and on us.
God they are vile things, hate ticks so much.
If you pull them off, make sure to hook under the jaws, because it is easy to pull a ticks body off but the jaws remain in the skin, I think this can lead to infection and transfer of Lyme disease etc as the saliva is still going into the blood stream, their horrible heads can survive a little while after being detached from the body.
