Tia had a rough & bumpy patch on her back, she was lying on my chest & I was trying to feel where it was. All of a sudden she bit me & wouldn't let go, it hurt so much. I pulled her off eventually & she dropped to the floor. Hubby thought maybe she was knocked out for a second, or two. I feel so guilty, I've just cried & cried, I've no right to be a pet owner. I picked her up for a cuddle after but she doesn't want to know me. I don't blame her.

Poor her and poor you! Her bite was a defensive reflex bite; they are deep and really hurt. You are not the first who let their piggy fall in a situation like that.

Give both of you time to recover and go easy on her; she is as shaken as you are! Tia will come round again in her own time although it may take a few days.

That area on her back is obviously very sensitive and may be worth getting checked out, but it would be best to not touch it again for the time being.

Please don't blame yourself - you meant her no harm and you're not the first person it's happened to.
If she has such a sensitive area on her back it would be worth asking the vet to take a look for you.
Hugs.
