Thyronorm

Finley is on 2mgs thyronorm twice aday.it seems to be maintaining his weight,with 30mls top up feed.ive read in some threads that thyroidectomy is used.I'm not sure I would want to do this to 5 1/2 year old Finley.just wondered others experiences with hyperthyroidism,not sure what the maximum dose of thyronorm can be given Finley will go back to the vet in January.

I've used thyronorm, very successfully, on a few piggies. I have given up to 0.4mls, twice daily, but that is the highest I've given. Most have been on around 0.2ml, twice daily.

Thanks,that helps.Finley is not unwell.he was just a bit manic,he's much more chilled now.2mgs twice daily is the equivalent of 0.4mls twice aday.

Increasing it slowly is the best way to go xx
