Thyroid problem?

My nearly 5 year old lost a lot of weight recently and exotic vet diagnosed a thyroid problem. She takes thyronorm once a day but is still losing weight despi supplemental feeding.
has anyone had similar experience or any advice?

We’ve got a guinea pig on thyronorm. What dose are you giving? Rudi is on 0.15 ml twice daily. Her weight is now stable.

Did the vet examine everything , such as all the teeth ? All the rear teeth , not just the front 4.

We’ve got a guinea pig on thyronorm. What dose are you giving? Rudi is on 0.15 ml twice daily. Her weight is now stable.

She started in 0.2, then 0.25, now gone to the top dose of 0.3 as she is not doing so well. She is down to 800g and I am concerned.

So she’s having the same dose as Rudi but as one dose rather than two. How quickly is the weight coming off?

Not massively, she has been around the 810-815 mark, seemed to be go up a few grams one week then down to 804g this week.
i give critical care and hand feed extra veg twice a day, do you do this too? What weight is you piggy now compared to Pre illness?
