Thunder And Fireworks

Hi everyone,

Our youngest guinea is terrified of thunder and fireworks, we're now moving into the firework season, i know they have calming solutions for cats and dogs? Is there anything we can do to help him be calm, he's already covered up.

I use Pet Remedy which is a spray, not too close to the cage though and make sure they're not in the cage when you spray the room and give it about 10 mins before putting them back.

It's a herbal based spray using valerian and such, it's not the best smelling thing in the world but I find it helps during tense times, even felt the calming effects myself before now!

Oh don't spray it in the cage, I tend to spray it in curtains and the floor etc.

If he is ok with music you could try him with that to help mask the sudden sounds, it doesn't help with mine as they hate music!
